5.Cookie consent and preferences
How to change what loads
This Website provides a cookie-preference tool. It appears as a notice at the bottom of the page on your first visit, and you can reopen it at any time using the link in the footer of every page.
The tool controls two categories:
- Maps and calendar — the embedded Google Maps on the Contact page and the embedded Google Calendar on the Events page
- Facebook feed — the embedded Facebook page feed on the home page, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc.
When a category is turned off, that content is not loaded at all. In its place we show a short notice, a button to turn it on, and a direct link to the provider's own site so you can still reach the content if you want it. No request is made to Google or Meta for that content while the category is off.
What happens before you choose
These embeds load by default until you turn them off. We have made that choice deliberately: our visitors are overwhelmingly local families looking for an address, a phone number, or the date of an event, and requiring them to clear a consent notice before the map will appear would get in the way at a difficult moment.
If you would rather they had not loaded, turning a category off stops any further loading immediately, and you can clear cookies already set through your browser settings as described in the next section.
How your choice is stored
Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage on the device you are using. It is not sent to us and is not linked to you. Clearing your browser storage, or using a different device or browser, will bring the notice back.
Strictly necessary technologies continue to operate whatever you choose, because they are required to provide and secure the Website.
6.Managing cookies through your browser
Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through browser settings.
Blocking all cookies may affect Website functionality. Certain features may not operate correctly when cookies, scripts, local storage, or similar technologies are disabled.
Browser controls are separate from our cookie-preference tool, and will also clear the record of the choice you made here.
7.Embedded content
The Website contains embedded content provided by third parties. Embedded services may place cookies or use similar technologies when you view or interact with them.
Providers used on this Website include:
- Google LLC — Google Maps, showing the location of our offices on the Contact page
- Google LLC — Google Calendar, showing our upcoming community events on the Events page
- Meta Platforms, Inc. — Facebook page feed, showing our recent posts on the home page
Each of these is controlled by the cookie-preference tool described in section 5. The provider's use of information is governed by its own privacy policy and terms.
8.Website security services
We use Cloudflare, Inc. to provide domain, network, content-delivery, performance, bot-prevention, form-protection, and Website-security services.
Cloudflare may process technical information such as Internet Protocol addresses, security-event information, device or browser information, and Website requests to provide these services.
Cloudflare may use cookies or similar technologies when necessary to provide security, fraud-prevention, bot-detection, or Website-delivery features.
9.Form verification and bot protection
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help determine whether form submissions are made by a person or an automated system.
Cloudflare Turnstile may process technical information about the visitor's browser, device, network connection, and interaction with the Website to prevent spam, fraud, and abuse.
Cloudflare Turnstile is used for security purposes and may rely on cookies or similar technologies where necessary to provide its service.
10.Analytics
The Website does not currently use an analytics provider. When one is added, its name will be recorded here and this policy updated before the service is enabled.
The provider may collect information about Website visits, including:
- Pages viewed
- Referral source
- Approximate location
- Browser and device type
- Website interactions
- Date and time of visits
The provider may use cookies or similar technologies depending on the service and Website configuration.
11.Advertising and remarketing
We embed a Facebook page feed provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. on our home page. Meta may use this embed to measure engagement and to associate Website activity with a visitor's Facebook or Instagram account where one exists.
The provider may use cookies, pixels, device identifiers, or similar technologies to collect information about your interactions with this Website and other services.
You may manage your choices through our cookie-preference tool, through your Facebook or Instagram account settings, or through your browser's cookie controls.
12.Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change our Website, service providers, cookies, tracking technologies, or legal obligations.
