Volunteers are an important and integral part of Richmond County Hospice, Inc. We invite you to enjoy the personal satisfaction and rewards of helping others. Hold the hand of a patient, provide emotional support to a family member, or provide a break for a caregiver. You may help with reading, letter writing, or just become a companion. As a Hospice volunteer, you are an essential part of our organization, helping us to serve our patients with peace, comfort, and dignity.

Richmond County Hospice is hiring for the following position:
PT SOCIAL WORKER
To provide end of life care for our home care patients.
The Hospice Social Worker assesses the psycho-social status and needs of patients, caregivers, and families related to the patient's terminal illness. SW is also responsible for identifying patient/family psycho-social needs and for providing supportive care and appropriate services in accordance with the attending physician’s orders and the interdisciplinary team plan of care. Provides education and assistance with advanced directives and referral services regarding community resource needs. Will work 20-24 hours a week. Requires a flexible schedule -usually M-F 8:30-5p. On Call duties are required. Competitive Compensation
· A graduate of an accredited bachelor’s program in Social Work (BSW,MSW preferred).
· 1-2 years’ experience in health care; hospice experience preferred.
· Preferred experience in health care, counseling and or social work.
· Possesses and maintains a valid Driver’s License
· Computer proficient (Word, PP)
